In 2023, Cathy Condon Gallery is once again delighted to work with Gympie based artist, Danny Bickmore and represent him in the New York Outsider Art Fair, 2 - 5 March. This year, Cathy Condon Gallery is also pleased to present selected works from Krystina Trinity, based in Southeast Queensland and Guillermo Bublik, based in Jersey City, USA.

Danny Bickmore

Danny is a self-taught  artist, living in Gympie, the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast, Queensland in Australia. He has been painting and drawing prolifically for over 25 years.

Danny focuses his artistic practice on his love of the Central Australian landscape, the place he grew up in his formative years, near Alice Springs.

The impressions of the spectacular mountain ranges and countryside continue to be the subject of his paintings and drawings. Danny renders the unique rock formations such as Devils Marbles and Uluru with finesse and sensitivity, bringing the heart of Australia to life. Danny derives immense joy from his art, his works feature gestural brushstrokes, a vibrant palette and a sensitive grasp of his subject matter - landscapes of Australian flora and fauna. Danny’s works evoke a sensory experience.

Cathy Condon Gallery is situated in Australia’s Sunshine Coast hinterland. The art therapy-based studio and gallery supports and represents artists with significant life challenges to overcome these to become successful self-supporting artists. The gallery provides arts business support services, enabling creative career sustainability opportunities for regional practitioners throughout Queensland and beyond.

Director, Cathy Condon is a qualified art therapist and visual artist and is equipped with extensive arts management, consulting and facilitation experience, in Australia, Europe and the USA.
