This landscape painting of New York City is a reflection on history. This artwork depicts the historical map which includes Wall St as a physical wall. It is said this was built to keep Native Americans above out of the new city. A small portion of the original wall remains on Wall St today. The Statue of Liberty holds the space in the bottom right of this contemporary painting as the tall ships arrive hundreds of years before her.
